ParticipantSecond edit: I was able to find the “Organic Custom” template under Quick Edit only; however when applied it overrides the previous page format and removes the header/footer and everything else currently on the page; AND the widgets section does not show up under customizer, as well as the Builder Pro not activating or showing all (or any) of the 24 widgets. Does this not work with Stax??? Or was it not updated when WP moved to Gutenberg? the builder widget capabilities were a large part of why we purchased all access and this is REALLY frustrating.
2nd try, contact form also submitted, no response. “Hello, we purchased the All Access which should have included the Builder Widgets Pro and everything else, however the plugin remains inactive even though the theme license has been activated and applied, it still says we should upgrade to Version 2.0 for $39 a year for additional widgets (such as split content and toggles and tabs, both of which we need). This Pro v 2.0 be included in the All Access, how do we activate that if so?
There is also no “organic custom page template” option in the Stax theme, and while I can add limited widgets there is no way to customize the appearance as shown on these instructions, while the plugin remains inactive. https://organicthemes.com/tutorial/how-to-use-organic-customizer-widgets/
EDIT: it appears from these 2022 instructions below I don’t need to use the widget block any longer? Is this accurate? Do we no longer need to add the Widget areas then? Would all of the Builder Widgets Pro options then be found under blocks or…? The “toggles and tabs” and other Builder Widgets does not come up here, and I still cannot use any of them since there is no “custom organic page template”?? https://organicthemes.com/builder/
“Essentially, all content is added using blocks within the default page and post editor of WordPress. There is no need to apply a page template, or add widgets as you may be used to with the Builder Widgets plugin. All blocks are added directly in the page editor, and different blocks may be added by clicking the blue “+” button in the editor. Searching for “Organic” in the blocks reveals all Organic Blocks that may be used.”

KeymasterHi Diana,
The Organic Blocks plugin should be used with STAX — NOT the Builder Widgets plugin. The Builder Widgets plugin is designed for older PHP based WordPress Themes. Since STAX is a block theme, it’s designed to work with blocks, not widgets. The Organic Blocks plugin retains most the functionality of the Builder Widgets, but using blocks instead of widgets. The exception is the toggle widget. However, you can download this plugin for adding a toggle block, https://wordpress.org/plugins/toggles/
Builder Widgets will override the customizability of the STAX theme, rendering the power of the STAX theme useless. Adding Builder Widgets to STAX is kinda like buying a new electric car and replacing the engine with an old diesel engine. Builder Widgets are still useful for people using older themes, but it’s not a plugin I would recommend for block themes like STAX. I hope this helps clarify the issue.
Thanks!

Participanti’m confused with your answer: since i bought “stax + widget pro” in 2023, i was using “image slideshow” widget in my homepage banner, with great satisfaction. However, since the wp 6.6. update, i can’t manage anymore my widgets. To resume, the “Builder widgets plugin” worked perfectly with stax theme until wp 6.6 update, and is no more useful now, is’it?

KeymasterHello,
Just for clarification, STAX + Builder Widgets has never been promoted as a pair. In contrast, STAX + Organic Blocks has always been promoted to work together. While technically, Builder Widgets have worked with STAX in the past, the issue here is that WordPress itself has evolved with WordPress updates, and WordPress is phasing out traditional widgets — which is why Organic Blocks has always been promoted for use with the STAX block theme.
If you want WordPress to work with traditional widgets and the builder widgets plugin, you will need to either downgrade your WP version and likely your PHP version, or add support in the form of other plugins like Classic Widgets and the Customizer plugins.
I hope this helps provide some clarity. Thanks!
