ParticipantI’m switching to theme from Photographer on this domain https://new.designintense.com/ and I added the theme and followed the wizard but none of the formatting or demo content got installed. I’d rather not start with a whole new install of wordpress because I have existing content but this theme is intimidating for me to learn so I want the demo content. Please advise what to do.

ParticipantHi again Liza, make sure you have both the WooCommerce and Jetpack plugins installed and activated. In the Jetpack settings, make sure the you toggle ON the following settings: allow custom content types for both portfolios and testimonials. Then, run the setup wizard again. Let us know if you need more help.

ParticipantThank you but I looked at ALL the Jetpack setting and don’t see where I can toggle what you mentioned on. I’ve seen it before but can’t find it. Would be really helpful to include where to do this. I also don’t know where to run the wizard again so even though your response might work, you didn’t give me enough information to do anything with it.

KeymasterHi Eliza,
I think we’ll need your WP login info for determining the issue here. If you’re not seeing the Jetpack settings in addition to not being able to install demo content, this leads me to believe this issue might be server and/or hosting related.
Thanks!

ParticipantSo if I had just been told where to look on JetPack I would have found it. That was one of my questions and ended up finding the answer on a search. So now I just need to know how to run the wizard again. WHERE DO I DO IT???

KeymasterHi Eliza,
I’ve logged in an replicated this issue. However, I have not yet been able to resolve it. Here are my educated guesses:
1. I see your server is running PHP 7.4. I would recommend updating this to PHP 8.2 with your host.
2. Who is your hosting provider? I’m unable to edit themes of plugins in the dashboard, which suggests a hosting environment restriction, or a user permissions issue. The latter is unlikely, since the provided user is an admin.
3. It’s likely some server restriction in your current environment that is preventing the installer from adding demo content. In short, I would recommend reaching out to your hosting provider regarding the import of demo content.
Thanks!

ParticipantSo once again, I found the answer on a search, I switched out of the theme and back to redo the wizard but the content did not import. Please resolve because I can’t proceed with this theme without it.

ParticipantHi again, please go to Jetpack settings (https://new.designintense.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=jetpack#/settings) and click the “Connect your WordPress.com account” button. Follow the prompts and sign up (or sign in) with your WordPress.com account (it’s free). Once you’ve connected your WordPress.com account, please let us know.
