How to update blog post dates?

Hello! Is there a way to have blog posts display the latest updated date, rather than original date? I’ve used some of the original templates, so is it better to update the published date? Unfortunately I started the blog site with the date include in the URL, so don’t want to ‘break’ any existing links.

Hi Berit,

Yes, this should be possible by replacing the Post Date block with the ‘Post Modified Date’ block within the Index template under Appearance > Editor, https://wordpress.org/documentation/article/post-modified-date-block/
