    I have tried to filter our posts by our projects which will be in the portfolio and our news articles which are on another page. Even though the posts themselves don’t show up under the category name on this page it still shows “News” and “Portfolio”. I’ve tried selecting the parent category of portfolio, selecting the individual categories, and also taking them out from the parent category and selecting them individually and nothing works.

    additional question, is there a way to have the links in the portfolio block open in a new tab?

    Thanks for reaching out! Can you please provide us with your website link and WordPress login info in a private reply so we can take a closer look?

    Also, regarding the portfolio posts opening in a new tab, there’s no option in the block, but you could use the Page Links To plugin, https://wordpress.org/plugins/page-links-to/
