Hi everyone,
I am customizing the STAX single product template. Everything works great except for the Product Image Gallery. The thumbnail images below the main image are way too large so they end up stacking vertically down the page instead of horizontally. Oddly, this error also only seems to occur in Firefox and Chrome, not Edge.
The thumbnail size issue seems to be a pretty common error, however, no solution I have found seems to make any different (e.g. the thumbnail options are not shown in Appearance–>Wocommerce; Woocommerce no longer has a tool in Status to regenerate thumbnails, etc). Also, I have tried multiple CSS snippets, but nothing has made any difference.
Here is an example page: https://wholehealthbaby.com/product/cal-mag-d/
I would like to make the thumbnail images smaller so they align horizontally to create a clean looking product image gallery block, like that seen in the STAX single product template.
By the way – does the STAX theme restrict editing of the Product Image Gallery block and is there a way to change this so it can be edited in the full site editor?
Thanks so much for the help!
Erich

Thanks for reaching out and using STAX! Did you get this issue resolved?
The thumbnails appear small and horizontally aligned when viewing your example page, as in the attached screenshot.
We did make some WooCommerce updates with the most recent theme update that may have resolved this issue. However, if it was a custom solution, we would love to know what was added so we may apply an update to theme.
Thanks!

Thanks for reaching out. So, I just checked and the images still look misaligned on my end (see screenshot). I tried Firefox, Edge, and Chrome — all latest versions. Organic Blocks v2.2.2.
What are the latest changes made to STAX for woocommerce? I still don’t se any ability to change these image sizes.
Best,
Erich

Ah, I see. I think this is a caching issue. If you are running any caching plugins or CDNs for the site, try clearing/purging all caches. Also, try clearing your browser caches. Most likely, you updated to a more recent version of the theme, and your browser and/or plugin caching is still storing the older version of the theme.
Let us know if this resolves the issue.
Thanks!

We are using WP Rocket. I went through and cleared the cache there plus on our web browsers across three different computers / three browsers each. No change. The product thumbnails still look too large and fall vertically. Is there a way to adjust their size? I know in Woocommerce there is usually a setting to change thumbnail size. Why is that not available here?
Best,
E

Who is your hosting provider? Have you cleared the cache with your host?
I’ve checked your site in 4 different browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Brave), and the product thumbnails all load correctly. This is consistent with some kind of caching issue on your end, and unfortunately I have no way to debug the issue if I can’t reproduce it.
I hope this helps point you in the right direction.
Thanks!
