How To: Add A Team Members Section To A WordPress Page

The Organic Team Members widget allows you to display a collection of team member profiles from a selected post category.

Within the widget options you’ll be able to add a featured image, job title, and written content for each profile. After installing and activating the Organic Customizer Widgets plugin, follow the instructions below and add each of the team members as individual posts:

  1. Add a new post within the customizer (Posts > Add New).
  2. Add the team member’s name within title field.
  3. Add a bio, or other personal information, within the content editor.
  4. Add the team member’s photo (Featured Image). Note: If you want your profiles to be consistent in size, remember to equally resize all your images within an image editing software, like Photoshop, first!
  5. Add a category name, like “Team” (+ Add New Category) and apply it to each team member post.
  6. Click the Publish button.
  7. Repeat steps 1 – 5 for each team member.

After creating each team member post and applying a category, follow these steps within the customizer:

  1. Apply the Organic Custom page template to the page you want to use.
  2. Update or Publish the page.
  3. Click the Customize Page button.
  4. Click the + Add A Widget button.
  5. Select the Organic Team Members widget.
  6. Give the section a Title & description (optional).
  7. Select the Team category, or category you applied in step 5 of the section above.
  8. Additional features are optional (background color, image, post number, post columns).

How To: Add A Testimonials Section To A WordPress Page

A testimonials section displays a slideshow of testimonials (or any posts of your choosing) in a lovely and simple slide format.

Designed to highlight your glowing reviews, the Organic Testimonials widget allows you to select the number of testimonials displayed within each slide along with a featured photo. First, install the Organic Customizer Widgets plugin. Next, follow these steps to add each testimonial as a separate post:

  1. Within the customizer, add a new post (Posts > Add New)
  2. Add a title (this is where a person’s name would go) and content (the body of the testimonial, or quote) within the content editor.
  3. Add a Featured Image for each post/testimonial (optional).
  4. Apply a category – existing or Add New Category (ie: “Testimonials”)
  5. Apply Organic Custom page template to page you want to use

After creating each “testimonial” post, follow these simple steps within the customizer to create a Testimonials section:

  1. Apply the Organic Custom page template to the page you want to use.
  2. Update or Publish the page.
  3. Click the Customize Page button.
  4. Click the + Add A Widget button.
  5. Add a Title and sub-content (optional).
  6. Select your Testimonial Category.
  7. Customize Max Number Of Posts and Posts Per Slide.
  8. Choose your Section Background Options (color or image).
  9. Click the Save & Publish button.

How To: Add A Featured Product Section To A WordPress Page

The Organic Featured Product Widget displays a section that allows you to add an image, description, and button link for a product on a WordPress page.

After installing and activating the free Organic Customizer Widgets plugin follow these instructions:

  1. Apply Organic Custom page template within selected page.
  2. Update or Publish the page.
  3. Click the Customize Page button.
  4. Click the + Add A Widget button.
  5. Select the Organic Featured Product widget.
  6. Give your product a title and description.
  7. To add a button link, give button a title (Featured Link Text) and Copy/Paste URL (Featured Link URL).
  8. Complete remaining fields as desired (Product Image Link URL, Content Alignment, Window Height Section, Background Image, etc.).

How To: Add A Content Slideshow Section To A WordPress Page

The Organic Content Slideshow Widget displays a section of posts with featured images and excerpts in the form of a slideshow.

Within the widget options you can choose the slideshow transition style (fade or slide), and choose the number of posts you want to display in your slideshow. Slides have arrows to skip forward or backward, but will change automatically. You can also customize the transition time between each slide.

After installing and activating the Organic Customizer Widgets plugin:

  1. Apply Organic Custom page template to selected page.
  2. Update or Publish the page.
  3. Click the Customize Page button.
  4. Click the + Add A Widget button.
  5. Select the Organic Content Slideshow widget.
  6. Complete all fields (select Post Category, Slide Interval, Transition Style, Max Number Of Posts).
  7. Optionally add a background image or color.

*Tip: If you want all your slides to be the same size, don’t forget to equally resize and edit all of the featured images for you posts in a photo editing program.

How To: Add A Blog Posts Section To A WordPress Page

The Organic Blog Posts Widget displays a section your most recent blog posts from a selected category on the page of your choice.

After installing and activating the free Organic Customizer Widgets plugin follow these instructions:

  1. Apply Organic Custom page template to selected page.
  2. Update or Publish the page.
  3. Click the Customize Page button.
  4. Click the + Add A Widget button.
  5. Select the Organic Blog Posts widget.
  6. Fill out desired fields (title & subtitle, post category, max number of posts, column number).
  7. You may also choose a background color or image for this section.
