KeymasterHi Manu,
I’m not sure if the nature of editing the header will change i the WordPress Editor. The Editor is still a relatively new feature of WordPress, and WordPress is continually updating the experience. Mostly it’s for the better, but I wasn’t fond of that particular change.
Regarding your hero image, I think this is because the image is cropped with an extreme panoramic aspect ratio. The way background images work for the Hero Block is by expanding to fill the space of the whole block. So, if the block has an aspect ratio of a square at a smaller screen size, the background image will be stretched to fill that entire area, resulting in cropping on the sides. The alternative is having the image would appear similar to the attached screenshot, which is probably more undesirable.
The best solution here would be to upload a version of the image that isn’t cropped, or is closer to a square aspect ratio.
I hope this makes sense.
Thanks!

KeymasterHi Manu,
No problem. Try the following:
1. Navigate to Appearance > Editor.
2. Select the Header/Menu.
3. Click the popup link that says “Edit Template” after selecting the menu (screenshot attached).
4. Select Navigation Block and begin editing the pages (screenshot attached). There was a WordPress update that now requires clicking the edit template link in step 3 in order to edit template parts. This was an annoying update for me, and I’m guessing it’s the source of your issue.
I hope this helps.
Thanks!

KeymasterHi Manu,
Within the editor you may need to import your menu into the Navigation Block located in the header. I have gone ahead and done this for you, and provided screenshots.
I hope this helps. Thanks!

KeymasterHi Manu,
No problem! I would recommend adding a matching background color to the Full Width group block that the Max Width container block is within.
I hope this helps.
Thanks!

KeymasterAh, I see. What version of the STAX theme are you using?
In more recent versions of the STAX theme, the “Home” template was removed in favor of adding the blocks directly within the content during the theme setup process. Assuming this is an older version of the theme using the Home page template, I would recommend navigating to the Appearance > Editor > Templates > Home in the admin. Then, copy all the blocks on the home page template, and paste them directly into your home page content, and apply the Blank Canvas page template instead of the Home page template. This should make them accessible for Yoast SEO.
I hope this helps.
Thanks!

KeymasterHi Berit,
I responded in your duplicate post. But yes, unused pages should be deleted. 🙂
Thanks!

KeymasterHi Berit,
I apologize for the delay. This post was flagged as pending due to the multiple links.
Yes, in general, I would delete pages that are not in use. After installing demo content, that content is meant to be used as a guide, but once it’s no longer necessary, we recommend deleting it.
I hope this helps.
Thanks!

KeymasterHi Manu,
Thanks for reaching out! Most the blocks on the home page template are core WordPress blocks. There are exceptions like the Content Slideshow and Portfolio blocks that pull content from the database into a query, in which case, there would be no custom Yoast SEO options for those blocks. However, I would recommend SEO optimizing the posts or pages individually in those cases.
Is there something specific you’re trying to optimize for SEO? Do you have any screenshots illustrating the issue? Also, this may be a support request for Yoast, since this is referring to functionality beyond the scope of the theme.
Thanks!
